A consortium led by US financier Todd Boehly is ready to take management of Chelsea Soccer Membership in a £4.25bn deal after the UK’s tradition secretary on Wednesday stated the federal government had issued a licence for the sale of the membership by Roman Abramovich.
The announcement by Nadine Dorries marks the ultimate stage in a posh course of that began after the UK imposed sanctions on Abramovich over his shut hyperlinks with the regime of Russia’s president Vladimir Putin.
